The Zion Canyoneering video starts off with the Mystery Canyon hike. The hike starts with a shuttle drop off at Weeping Rock then with a hike up to Observation Point (a 3800 ft elevation gain). The beginning of Mystery Canyon has an awesome view of a deeply entrenched canyon. From the start canyon about 1200 ft is scrambled down a steep talus slope. Then soon the fun begins rapping through the scenic water sculpted walls. Mystery Canyon ends with a 115 ft rappel into the world-famous and very popular Zion Narrows. With a crowds watching, navigating the slippery slope has some interesting fun like catching on video the death of Jason's camera as it plunges the drop.
The next canyon in the film is the Subway hike. It starts with a scenic hike through the desert of red rock to the reach the canyon. Once in the canyon slowly becomes surrounding by towering cliffs. The canyon has two short rappels to reach the main attraction of the Subway. Immediately beyond the Subway the canyon widens for the remaining 7 mile hike out with a dinosaur track site marking the approximate half way.
The last canyon on the video is the short and sweet Pine Creek Canyon. The footage shows Jason jumping along dark shadows of the Cathedral and the 100 ft drop at the end. Then one hits a 3 mile boulder jumping hike to reach the award of a small swimming hole just beneath the where the car is parked.
The video ends showing Jason falling asleep on the typical shuttle ride after a long day finishing Mystery Canyon.
