This video highlights the hike down to Havasu Falls. The start is at the Hilltop Parking Lot just west of the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Hilltop is where the pavement ends and trail begins. The access into the Supai Village is only accessible by helicopter, mule trains, and by foot. The hike is 7 miles to the village. At the Supai Village, the magical turquoise-colored water enters. It’s another 3 miles to Hasavu Falls and the campground. After the campground the stream can be followed another 8 miles to the Colorado River, pasting several other majestic waterfalls and cascades. It is truly nature’s own waterpark.
The video was actually filmed on two trips. The first trip was October 24 to 26, 2005 with Jason Mateljak, Cami Pulham, and Rachael Keske. The video camera recorded its last dying frames. The majority of the footage was captured on April 3 to April 7, 2007 with Tim Barnhart, Cami Pulham, and Carly Harris. The first night, we celebrated Cami’s birthday with a round of King Dongs.
