These panomoras have the ablity to pan around the scene in every direction - as if you were actually there! Each panorama is created by stitching together at least 30 images taken from a fixed point from a special tripod head.

Terry Acomb and I camped out at Crystal Geyser just south of the town of Green River, Utah hoping to at least see the eruption under the full moon. The geyser starting erupting at 3:30 in the morning and continued erupting until about 8 am. The Crystal Geyser's travertine terrace was originally noted by John Wesley Powell on his first expedition down the Colorado River. In the early 1900s, the terrace was drilled as an exploratory well. The drill rig was blown out with eruptions estimated at 200 ft. The geyser continues to erupt due to the buildup of carbon dioxide gases (cold water geyser). See Alan Glennon's website for more details on the cold water eruptions of Crystal Geyser.
